These past couple of weeks, we have celebrated our graduating seniors with love and kindness as they move forward to the next chapter of their lives. On May 6, Minnechaug held its well-respected and honorable Band and Choir Senior Night. The seniors were honored with banners, and some even received awards.
Our very own Laila Hosnander received a national award representing her dedication to music and her strong work ethic both inside and outside of the Minnechaug community. This was just one of the many awards given out last night, showing appreciation for the kindness and dedication our seniors have shown us.
As our seniors move on to the next chapter of their lives, we want to thank them for their generosity and dedication to their crafts in music, sports, and academics. The role models they have become for freshmen, sophomores, and even juniors truly shine through when it matters most. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for the acts of kindness you have shown us.
I interviewed a few students about the acts of kindness some of our seniors have shown, and first up is Eva Gagliarducci speaking about Laila Hosnander.
“For Senior Districts, she helped me prepare for my audition. She helped me hear different parts and worked on the timing for my piece.” This kind act helped Eva make Senior Districts, which is a huge accomplishment.
Another student I interviewed was Madelyn D’Amore, who spoke about Emma Balog and how she impacted her swimming.
“She gave me tips on my breaststroke, which helped me gain better control.” This was greatly appreciated by Madelyn, and it will be remembered as she continues swimming for Minnechaug.
These acts of kindness from our seniors, whether in sports, academics, or music, have made a huge impact on us. We appreciate you, we see you, and we respect you. Good luck wherever your future takes you.
