Weather of the Week

This week will be a mix of nice, warm weather and some hot and humid weather. Tuesday shows low 70s but Wednesday is humid and hot, approaching 80 degrees. Thursday cools down, with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Friday is warmer, with highs in the low 70s. The weekend is uncertain, as of this writing, it appears to be raining and in the 70s. Keeping an eye on a tropical disturbance, that is unlikely to form or affect the East Coast.

What’s Going on in the Weather World?

Some good and bad news for the Northeast in terms of tropical weather. The good news is with the El Nino weather pattern, wind shear (which is winds aloft in the atmosphere) will be high, making tropical weather weakened if it gets too close to the US Mainland. The bad news is the sea temperatures are predicted to be the hottest ever recorded. Which could make the Northeast coast a wildcard for tropical weather. So either we will have the driest New England summer ever or a destructive one if we become a magnet of hurricanes.
