Minnechaug Boys Hockey’s most recent game against Amherst-Pelham Regional High School ended in a 1-0 shutout, putting them second in the division with a 0.86 win percentage according to Mass Hockey.
For this game their starting lineup featured Chase Folli, Brody Fanueff, Kelly Balog, Dominic Fiorentino, Jameson Murray, and Cameron Fanueff. This game’s single goal was scored by Brody Fanueff with an assist from Balog in the first period.
Amherst received three power plays but Minnechaug’s defense kept pressure on, and also their goalies Chase Folli and Matthew Lafley each contributed saves that preserved the shutout as they alternated throughout the game.
Over winter break they restored their winning streak with victories over Agawam, Grafton, and now Amherst, which builds further momentum as they progress in the season.
