The Minnechaug Falcons’ Field Hockey Team had a close game between Agawam High School, losing 1-0. The varsity team faced Agawam earlier in the season on Friday September 19th. The Falcons competed well throughout the game, though an unfortunate goal towards the middle of the game lead to the loss.
Both the defense and the offense did equally well, with the Minnechaug offense keeping the ball on Agawam’s side of the field multiple times for various time periods, but was not able to project a goal into the net. The defense did just as well keeping the ball out of their zone, though Agawam’s offense managed to connect a goal into the net.
