The White Mountain National Forest

Deep within the heart of the valleys and mountains of New Hampshire, lie the White Mountain National Forest.  About a three hour drive from Springfield and next to Conway NH, a place known for its shopping and skiing, this area provides foliage lovers with a sight to see. Leaves in this region change in early September and peak in late September, and is rated top in the country for Fall foliage.

The Vermont Green Mountain Byway

Vermont’s Green Mountain Byway sets amazing views from all over. People usually take highways to get from one place to another and tend to miss the hidden beauty of the Byway. With a climate similar to that of the White Mountains, the Byway experiences its peak fall foliage much earlier than people in Massachusetts do.

The Berkshires in Massachusetts

The Berkshires in Massachusetts stretch far west of Springfield, unless you looked on a map, you wouldn’t even think they’d exist except for the occasional low haze that revealed the mountains in the distance.
