COVID-19 has definitely made an impact on the arts at Minnechaug. In response to the limitations brought on by the virus, Minnechaug’s literary art magazine, Emeralds, has made its way to the online web, fully transforming into an entirely new virtual art center showcasing student work in the form of music, paintings, drawings, and writing. The Smoke Signal’s Features Editor Abyssinia Haile was able to take a peek at the team’s work and speak to a few staff members about their revolutionary transition to a new platform.
