Weather of the Week

A rollercoaster of temps this week, mid-70s on Wednesday and back down to rain showers and mid-60s for Thursday. Friday through Sunday, same thing, mid-70s, low 60s, back to the mid-70s. A repeating rollercoaster of a week into the weekend. Next week, it looks like a few days of mid to high 70s before another potential cold front by the week after. 

What’s Going on in the Weather World?

Now I usually write about an interesting topic here, like tornadoes in the South, hurricane season, etc. But this article is important this week. I am a senior and within a couple of days’ time, I will be out of Minnechaug and in a week, graduating. I just wanted to express my thanks to Mr. Card for giving me this opportunity to write on a topic that is my passion. Secondly, to anyone reading. Without you, I would be writing to the ghosts. I do hope that I won’t be the last weather editor to write on behalf of Minnechaug, and I hope someone does take my place soon.  I will be heading off to Vermont State University to get my Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science/Meteorology. Thank you to everyone reading this for the 2.5-year experience, and hopefully in 5-10 years from now, you’ll see me on the Weather Channel, hanging onto a flagpole during a hurricane or chasing tornadoes in Kansas or whatever else the weather brings to me.
