What’s Going on in the Weather World?
April 1-6 featured a near-weeklong outbreak of tornadoes and other storms across the south. In Lake City, Arkansas, major damage was observed as an EF3+ tornado struck the city. Here is a picture of Storm Chaser Brandon Copic, who filmed as the tornado crossed within 100 yards of his vehicle on live TV. Thankfully, all town shelters were overflowing, and no one died. In Selmer, Tennessee, another devastating tornado tore through, tragically killing 3. In Kentucky, houses were flooded as devastating floods struck the region, killing five people as of April 8th.
