Weather of the Week:
Christmas weekend looks cloudy, with some sun peaking out on Sunday. Christmas day looks clear, partly cloudy; not the coldest nor the warmest at 46 degrees. The rest of winter break is like a spring break as it will be in the upper 40s to mid-50s and rainy. There are no snow chances until after the New Year’s, even then, chances are still minuscule.
What’s Going on in the Weather World?
This last weekend’s Nor’easter was a very odd one for New England in December, with rain and wind instead of snow. Record flooding from New Jersey to Maine. Half of Maine’s population on Tuesday (12/19) had no power. Boston observed a wind gust of 90 mph, and other areas in the 70s-80 mph range. Looks like maybe one more rain event before the new year and then we may see snowstorms, but it’s too early to say that so take it with a grain of salt. Happy Holidays!
