Honoring Those Lost to Overdoses
February 26, 2021
Beginning on Friday, February 26th, the Above the Influence Club will have black balloons (made out of construction paper) to remember and honor those lost to drug overdoses. Black Balloon Day is a national day of remembrance on March 6th. You can get your black balloon outside of Mr. Dalessio’s classroom (B-108). Anyone who wishes can sign their name on a balloon and tape it to the wall outside of Mr. D’s classroom. By signing your name to a black balloon and putting it on the wall, you are showing your support for those families that lost a loved one to overdose.

This is such a great way to not only honor those lost to overdose, but to also help break the stigma of those losses and support a community that sometimes feels invisible in their bereavement. Thank you ATI Club!
