Dear America: Come Together As One

Andrew Liverseidge

Dear America,

America today is definitely not what it used to be. The world is an ever changing place and we the people evolve and sometimes the great country of the U.S. has a hard time adapting to the change that we create. I think our country is greatly divided in many ways, and I believe that this is not just due to the election. I firmly believe that this is anger stemming from many years and generations of poor and unfair treatment to many. This also comes at a time where every person has the constant worry of COVID-19, and I believe that this just adds to the stress people are under right now and is leading all of this built up anger over flowing. With all of this said, I strongly believe that we, as a country,  are attacking this from the wrong angle in times of need where everyone is hurting. We need to come together as one, not split off as single persons. The country is its strongest when we are one than when we are divided, and in this painful time of COVID-19 we need to be united to help one another, not fight over what political candidate we support because, at the end of the day, the president is just a part of this country more or less run by the decisions we make. Storming the U.S capitol is showing weakness and divide and our country and with everything that is already going on in the country we do not want to open any doors for another country to come and think we are weak and try to take us by force. In conclusion I view America as the best country in the world but it is just in a bump in the road to glory, nothing great comes easy, it requires hard work and sacrifice. The same goes for America.

Sincerely,

Andrew Liverseidge
