Chaug Clubs and a Kindness Connection

Imagine a place where you are able to be authentically yourself. A place where you can express your interests and meet people who are interested in the same things as you are. A place filled with kind people and new opportunities. Some people might think of school as “just a place” but Minnechaug has so much more to offer than just being “A highschool.”

There are so many opportunities to find who you are and one of the best ways to do so is by joining clubs. Did you know that you can help spread kindness by joining clubs at Minnechaug? An example of some great clubs to be a part of are Peer Mentors, National Honor Society (NHS), World Care Club, and Class and Student Council. While all these clubs and activities are geared towards different topics, they all share the overarching idea of being kind and making Minnechaug a better place, for everyone.

For example, World Care Club meets up to pick up trash that is found around the school while Class and Student Council creates different fundraisers and activities to help organize many cherished school events such as Prom and Semi Formal. Peer Mentors is geared to helping the incoming freshmen feel welcomed into the Community, while The National Honors Society members dedicate their time to help tutor students for different academic subjects.

These are just a few examples of the many clubs and activities Minnechaug has to offer their students. Clubs help create a culture of kindness in schools because they are a way for everyone to feel accepted, and included in their school community. On top of Minnechaug offering 51 different clubs, you also have the option to make your own club! There is something for everyone here at Chaug, so why not make the most of your highschool years by joining clubs that draw your interest while promoting a happier, more diverse, and kinder community.
